Whatever happened to blooper reels in movies?
I used to live for them. Half the reason I’d want a DVD would be for that extra BTS content in the bonus features. Long live the ’90s.

Last Friday, I posted a blooper Reel on Instagram.
(Shoutout to my friend Courtney with Lacuna Studio, who can somehow make content magic out of my ridiculous word-fumbling.)
While I wouldn’t say this post went viral by any means, it did get more engagement than my typical posts. Yet it has almost nothing to do with my actual business.
It’s not educational. It’s not inspirational.
It’s just… funny.
Courtney has been encouraging me to share more of my personality on social media for months.
As a self-deprecating perfectionist — and the founder of a copywriting studio whose brand style guide claims to be curated, editorial, and polished — I sometimes struggle with portraying an image that’s more off the cuff.
Yet I know that, since Quotable Copy clients work directly with me, it’s important for them to actually see the real me. They deserve to know exactly who they’d be working with before they decide to book.
